Crafty

Pleased that the airfix model came yesterday. Took me right back to childhood having spent a few hours last night beginning to build it. Getting it just perfect is a bit of a challenge. We shall see. I’ll spend a little time later painting while watching san remo. Hoping to chalk this off complete soon.

Visited a local crafty shop this morning to pick up a sketch pad, now what do I do with it?

Coasting

Whilst nothing on the list is getting really tackled today (only really added to), I felt it was time to put wheels in motion to get one of the first items I came up with complete … and that’s visiting the Northumberland Coastline alone…

After some searching, and some assistance from a friend, I’ve re-foundthe name of an excellent Bed and Breakfast up there. I’ve pencilled in the visit for Friday 3rd June and the plan will be to walk up the coastline from Alnmouth to Seahouses and spend a hard day’s graft in the outdoors with perfect solitude…. I reckon I can knock a few more items off whilst I’m at it.

Bonsai

Horticultural skills will be put to the test shortly. Bonsai kit has been ordered. Apparently it needs to be put in the refrigerator for a week before hand. What is that all about? This will test my patience. I always enjoyed the karate kid..

Nostalgia and getting things going

Taking me back... one last time?

I loved Airfix models and ‘trying’ to build them when I was younger. The frustrating thing about them was rushing to get them done and doing a shoddy job. I also remember being traumatised when I learnt that Airfix were going in administration…. Anyway, what I want to do is build one … properly.

Today, I’ve ordered a kit from Amazon (you’ve got to love Amazon…) and I’m hoping it’ll be here for the weekend when I can get this started.

First ‘thing’…

One of the items on the Blist is to set up a blog which will keep track of my aims and also record other things I want to do as and when I come across them. As you’ve figured out, the Blog is go….  this will be online diary and record of all-things Blist.

So, that’s one chalked off. Result….
